Navigating Proactiq Like a Power User

Speed compounds — fast users get more done with the same day

The difference between a user who takes 8 clicks to create an invoice and one who takes 3 is not intelligence — it's familiarity. This lesson teaches you the patterns that make Proactiq fast to use every day.

The sidebar — your command centre

The left sidebar is organised by business function. Click any section header to expand it. Your most-used modules pin to the top of their section. The sidebar is the same on every page — once you know where everything lives, navigation becomes automatic.

Global search — the most powerful shortcut

Press Ctrl+K (Windows/Linux) or Cmd+K (Mac) from anywhere in Proactiq. Type any of the following:

  • A contact name — jumps directly to their CRM profile
  • An invoice number (e.g., INV-0047) — opens that invoice
  • An employee name — opens their HR profile
  • A project name — goes to that project's task board
  • A support ticket subject — opens the ticket

Results appear from all 33 modules simultaneously. You rarely need to navigate the sidebar for something you can search for.

The notification centre

The bell icon at the bottom of the sidebar shows real-time notifications: expense approvals waiting, new support tickets, deal updates, leave requests, and system alerts. Notifications update without page refreshes — you see them the moment they happen.

The ? help button

Every page in Proactiq has a ? button in the top-right corner. Clicking it opens the relevant Academy lesson for exactly what you're looking at — without leaving your current work. This course is the source of those lessons.

The one shortcut to memorise first: Ctrl+K / Cmd+K. Once you're comfortable searching instead of navigating, everything else gets faster automatically.
