What gets measured gets managed
The highest-performing teams don't just deliver — they measure their delivery, learn from it, and get faster every sprint. Here's how to use Proactiq's analytics to do the same.
Key project metrics
- Task completion rate — What % of tasks are completed vs created in a given period? Below 60% means your team is creating faster than they're finishing — a planning problem, not a capacity problem.
- Cycle time — Average days from "Todo" to "Done". Reducing this by 25% significantly increases throughput without adding headcount.
- Blocked tasks — Any task that sits in the same stage for 5+ days is blocked. The daily standup should surface these before the 5-day mark.
The sprint retrospective
At the end of every sprint, answer three questions as a team:
- What went well? (reinforce these habits)
- What didn't go well? (diagnose root causes, not symptoms)
- What will we do differently? (one concrete action item per retrospective)
Document this in a project note. Review previous retrospectives at the start of each planning session — your team should never make the same mistake twice.
